Most of our pupils are transported to and from school and this is arranged by the LA. It is not in the remit of schools or other professionals to authorise the provision of home school transport. This is the responsibility of transport officers at County Hall.

When the school transport arrives at your house, your son/daughter should be ready and watching for its arrival so that he/she can go out immediately. Drivers are advised to wait for only a few minutes in order to enable the transport to keep to schedule.

Any alterations to normal transport arrangements should be notified to the school or the Area Transport Officer. All children are checked out on the taxi registers at the end of the day and they will not be released to other transport without a letter or telephone call from parents.

A small number of parents transport their children to and from school and we ask that the entrance gate is kept clear at all times, especially at the end of the school day.
