Building Knowledge, Confidence and Independence
Key Stage 3 builds on the foundations established in primary education, helping pupils develop the knowledge, skills and confidence they need for the next stage of learning.
Learning combines personal development, academic learning and increasing independence, enabling pupils to become more resilient, communicate effectively and prepare for the challenges of Key Stage 4.

During Key Stage 3, pupils develop the knowledge, skills and confidence that prepare them for accredited learning and qualifications in Key Stage 4.
